Sleep Solutions, Inc.
proudly showcases bed frames and other bedroom furniture made right here in Eugene, Oregon by
Pacific Rim Woodworking.
We also have a unique platform-style bed made by Phil Peck of Northern California.
The folks at
Pacific Rim Woodworking
are committed to producing a quality product with minimal environmental impact.
The western maple used in all their beds and other furniture is from
Forest Stewardship Council
(F.S.C.) certified, managed forests. And at their woodworking shop, every bit of the wood is used.
Scrap pieces are donated to area causes, and even the sawdust is blended with a local landscaping
company's mulch to avoid wasting it.
Pacific Rim Woodworking
uses traditional woodworking methods such as
mortise and tenon
and
dovetail.
And because their solid-maple furniture is hand-rubbed with their own natural finish made of
tung oil
and bees wax, you won't have to worry about the emission of
V.O.C.s.
The furniture is also available unfinished.
They make quite a few styles of quality bed frames plus a unique Four-In-One Sleep System that
can go from two regular twin beds to a either a trundle bed, a hi-lo bed or a bunk bed.
We have many of their bed frame styles in our showroom, including the
Four-In-One bed system.
And since they are an Eugene-based company, your purchase not only supports responsible harvesting
practices and handcrafted quality, but it also helps support the local economy.

The Padded-Slat Shasta Platform Bed Frame by Phil Peck
This
wonderful
bed frame is made from solid, clear fir wood, and finished with natural
tung oil.
It is unique because latex strips can be added to the slats to provide more comfort than a regular platform
bed. The strips of talalay latex
promote air circulation while adding extra cushion. Our showroom bed frame has half plain slats,
and half latex-covered slats so that you can compare the difference.
These beds usually take about three to four weeks for either
delivery
or
shipment,
either way being free of charge.
The Savvy Rest Foundation
Savvy Rest foundations
consist of an extra-sturdy, untreated pine frame covered with the same organic cotton and wool casing found on the
mattress. It not only provides a matched-set look, but is a
slatted
foundation specially designed to provide valuable air circulation to the latex foam mattress.
If you have a bed frame that normally accommodates a box spring, a
Savvy Rest
foundation simply
replaces
the box spring. It is available in a standard nine-inch height or a
low profile five-inch height. The foundation comes in all standard bed sizes. King size foundations
always consist of two halves, so they fit through doorways, and queen sizes can also be made
of two halves when requested.
The foundation can also be customized to any length or width, or to any height between three and twelve inches.
A new foundation enhances
the performance, life-span and comfort of the mattress . Consider that if your old mattress is worn-out,
then so is its foundation, and money spent on a foundation will extend the life of the mattress.
