Natural Rubber Latex Mattresses

We sell two brands of organic latex foam mattresses, the Savvy Rest and the Nature's Embrace. The Savvy Rest natural rubber latex mattress is made of all certified organic materials. Savvy Rest's all-latex mattress is also customizable for firmness on each side of queen sizes and larger. In addition, the mattress firmness for each side can be adjusted at home. Plus Savvy Rest allows customers to exchange layers for those of a different density during the first 90 days of ownership. These great features ensure that your mattress will be perfectly comfortable for both you and your sleeping partner.

The Nature's Embrace mattress is also an organic all-latex mattress. It comes in two firmness levels, and while it may not have all the features of the Savvy Rest, the Nature's Embrace organic mattress is available at a much lower price.

Natural rubber latex conforms to your body shape easily, which reduces pressure-points, yet it is supportive, which helps keep you body in proper alignment. It also allows good air circulation, which helps keep you comfortable and dry. Natural rubber latex is antimicrobial and also resists dust mites, mold and mildew. And since our natural rubber dunlop latex is an organically grown, plant-based resource, the latex mattress is as gentle on Mother Earth as it is healthy for you.

But most importantly, the organic dunlop latex and natural rubber talalay latex have a very comfortable and supportive feel, unmatched by any other material. There's no mistaking the feel of a natural rubber latex mattress. Come in to our store and try either one for yourself!

They create personalized comfort for each side of the mattress. The core components are layers of organic dunlop or natural talalay latex foam. The casings are made of pure organic cotton with organic wool batting quilted inside. NO chemical flame retardants, pesticides, bleaches, dyes or other toxic finishes are used.

Nature's Embrace Organic Latex Mattresses

Nature's Embrace organic latex mattresses have everything a latex mattress should have. We have the Encore, Tempo and Timbre models in our showroom. They are all endowed with certified organic dunlop latex, natural wool as the flame barrier and an organic, knitted cotton cover.

The Encore is eight inches high, and consists of four two-inch layers of organic dunlop latex. A layered design has a better feel than a solid core of latex. It has a medium-soft density. These are very comfortable mattresses with a medium-soft comfort level. The Tempo and Timbre are six-inch thick organic latex mattresses, with the Tempo being firm density and the Timbre being extra-firm.

Many consumers are aware that toxic chemicals in the home, including those in mattresses, bedding, sofas and other furniture, are dangerous to one's health. Chemical flame retardants have been linked to cancer, obesity, infertility and developmental brain disorders. Along with other unsafe chemicals in synthetic foams and textiles, they off-gas into indoor air and degrade into easily-ingested dust particles. Exposure to these compounds has resulted in unprecedented levels in our bodies, with children carrying the highest load. Nontoxic, natural latex foam mattresses and sofas without flame retardants offer a healthful alternative.

Organic Latex Mattress Toppers

We have three organic latex toppers in our showroom, one by Savvy Rest and two by Nature's Embrace. The Savvy Rest Vitality Topper has an organic, knit cotton casing with a two-and-a-half inch thick layer of soft natural talalay latex inside. Talalay latex is extra soft and very good at reducing pressure points, which makes it very useful for side-sleepers. This topper can give the firmest mattress a plush, cozy-soft sleeping surface.

TheNature's Embrace toppers have a two-inch layer of organic dunlop latex available in either a soft or medium density. They also sport either an organic cotton cover or an organic cotton with wool cover. These are designed to add an extra layer of comfort to any mattress.

We also have wonderfully plush ECO-wool-filled toppers.

Organic latex toppers are the most long-lasting and compression-resistant toppers available. Natural rubber latex is known to be highly resistant to taking a body impression. No need to rotate or flip the topper. You can get 20 years of comfort from your latex topper. It might even outlast your mattress! Although a topper's main purpose is to soften an overly firm mattress, it can also firm-up a too-soft mattress as long as the mattress is not sagging.

Natural Rubber Latex Pillows

Just as a reminder, natural rubber latex is a plant-based material. You can feel confident that it a good place to rest your head every night. We carry natural talalay and organic dunlop latex pillows.

Having the right pillow is nearly as important as having the right mattress. And it is important that the pillow "match" the mattress and your sleeping style. In general, a softer mattress requires a lower pillow than a firmer mattress. Another basic consideration is that side-sleepers tend to need higher pillows than back-sleepers because a back-sleeper's head is closer to the mattress than a side-sleeper's head. So when you pick out your pillow in our store, test it first on one of our mattresses that most closely resembles your own mattress.

Latex pillows provide great comfort and support. We have them in a "soap shape" a "contour" shape, and also in a shredded style. The organic dunlop style tends to be medium density, while the natural talalay is soft. The shredded latex pillows have the ultimate in malleability and are also adjustable in height.

Wool Pillows

An Eco-Wool pillow has fantastic properties. It is nearly as soft as goose down and has a more consistent density. Because wool wicks away moisture it also helps you stay dry and comfortable. It also stays free of dust mites, mildew and other moisture-related allergens.

All of our wool pillow casings are made of certified organic cotton and the wool fiber inside each pillow has been processed gently at an organic mill and contains no chemical residue at all.

The Holy Lamb brand Eco-Wool pillows come in three different fill-weights for standard sizes. That means whether you like your pillow thin or thick, you are sure to find one that is just right. This type pillow is one of our softest.

The Holy Lamb brand Adjustable Wool Pillows are a comfortable and unique pillow filled with very small tufts of Eco-Wool. This pillow is very malleable which makes it a great pillow for those who shift between side sleeping and back sleeping. The zippered case lets you remove some tufts to lower the height, or add tufts to increase the height.

The Holy Lamb orthopedic pillow helps keep your spine in proper alignment. It has a thick and a thin contoured neck bolster on either side, so you can choose the amount of support you need. The design provides proper support for your neck, head and spine. It was developed by Holy Lamb with help from a chiropractic physician.

Organic Kapok Pillows

Made by Savvy Rest, this pillow has an organic cotton cover and organic kapok fill. Kapok is sustainable and comes from the seed pod of the Ceiba tree. It has a fluffy, luxurious softness. The pillow is malleable and adjustable in height.

Hull Pillows

Made by Sachi Organics, these pillows can have either buckwheat or millet fill with a comfort layer of thick wool on top. Both have a zippered organic cotton case that allows them to be adjusted in height by removing or adding hulls. These are some of our firmest pillows. Being on the thick side, they are great for side-sleepers
